Identify both sides of the connection
Request photographs of the inlet, its markings and the vehicle identification details. Ask the seller to identify the charging arrangement on that car. Keep this alongside the version record rather than carrying specifications from another market into a China-market offer. Appearance alone is insufficient.
At the destination, collect the charger model, connector information and intended installation or network. A customer saying charging is available is only a starting point. Establish parking access, payment or account requirements, and whether the proposed vehicle configuration is supported. Separate an installed private charger from an unverified future installation.
Treat accessories as a system
Do not promise that an adapter alone resolves every mismatch. Mechanical fit is not the same as a supported charging session. A proposed accessory needs documentation identifying its intended combination, operating limits and support provider. High-voltage equipment needs assessment by appropriately qualified providers; a dealer photograph cannot replace it.
List cables, portable equipment if included, accessory models, quantity and condition separately. Put optional equipment on its own line in the quotation. Avoid an undefined complete charging kit. The customer needs to know what is supplied and what must be arranged locally, including installation and any necessary equipment assessment.
Record an observed charging session
A useful record identifies the vehicle, charger, date, starting charge level, approximate conditions and result. Include duration and energy delivered where available. Preserve interruptions or warnings rather than reporting only a successful start. For used cars, include inlet condition and relevant repair history.
One session verifies a limited combination of equipment and conditions. It does not certify every network or a universal speed. Temperature, charge level and equipment can affect performance. Resolve destination dependencies
Arrange installation and network checks through relevant providers. Identify who handles questions after delivery and distinguish vehicle concerns from installation, equipment or account access. This avoids promising support that no party has accepted.
Keep unresolved questions visible as conditions of the offer. If a destination test cannot happen before shipment, agree what can be verified beforehand and what remains uncertain. Use the handover record to identify every supplied accessory. Repeat orders should retain the same charging requirements even when the seller proposes a different version or replaces an individual candidate.
Example: a charger exists, but access is uncertain
A dealer’s customer identifies a charger at an apartment building but has not confirmed parking permission or network access. Record the equipment details and ask the responsible operator to establish whether the proposed combination is supported. Until access and compatibility are resolved, describe charging as an open requirement. A photograph of the charger does not close either question. If a different arrangement is proposed, preserve its documentation separately so the final vehicle offer refers to the solution the customer can actually use.
