Write a specific phone requirement
Ask whether the customer requires CarPlay, another supported projection method, Bluetooth calls or only audio playback. These are not interchangeable descriptions. Include wired or wireless preference and the intended phone where compatibility matters. This guide provides a verification method; it does not claim that every i60 supports every named function.
The software and overseas-support guide establishes the wider digital requirements. A large display and a charging USB socket do not prove smartphone projection. Keep each requested function separate so the supplier can answer demonstrated, unavailable or pending instead of using one vague connectivity label.
Identify the installed system
Request the original configuration and any disclosed replacement head unit or added accessory. Have the supplier identify the current system and relevant version information. A model reference photograph cannot establish what remains installed on a used vehicle after previous work or owner modifications.
The i60 version record helps connect the equipment to the actual candidate. If an aftermarket solution is proposed, name it and ask who supports it. A working third-party arrangement may be acceptable to a buyer, but it should not be described as an original factory function without supporting evidence.
Observe a repeatable connection
Ask the demonstrator to identify the phone, connection method, cable and port used. Record an adapter even if it is hidden inside a compartment. A phone that charges successfully has not necessarily established a data connection, so the demonstration should show the function the customer actually requested.
Assess ordinary compatible functions with the vehicle stationary and operated appropriately. Record sound, controls and reconnection where relevant to the customer’s needs. A successful test belongs to the particular setup used; it does not guarantee every future phone or software version will behave identically without further confirmation.
Separate cabin language from an app
Ask for the language of the vehicle’s relevant controls, messages and settings, not just a navigation app shown in English. A phone can display a preferred language while the vehicle interface remains different. If a particular language is mandatory, make that a separate acceptance requirement and demonstrate the relevant screens.
Do not promise that a future update will add a language or connection method unless the responsible provider confirms the actual supported route. Planned or rumoured functionality should remain outside the confirmed equipment list. A supplier’s confidence about another vehicle does not establish the result on this production version.
Check regional services independently
Embedded navigation, mobile data, remote control and account-based functions may have dependencies distinct from phone projection. Ask the responsible provider to confirm the actual destination arrangement. A demonstration in China does not establish that every connected service operates under the receiving customer’s account abroad.
Keep private credentials out of the purchase file and initial enquiry. Agree a legitimate account and personal-data handover through the applicable provider process. A seller’s existing login should not be treated as a permanent solution for the next owner or as evidence that access can be transferred on the proposed terms.
For address search, map coverage and a fallback without mobile data, follow the i60 overseas navigation checks. Keep the navigation result separate from the ability to connect a phone or play audio.
Reconcile accessories with delivery
If a cable, adapter or added system is necessary, state whether it is included and retain its identity in the supplied-items record. The new-stock PDI guide helps include the final working setup in delivery checks. New status alone does not establish a required phone function.
For a used car, request available installation and support records for disclosed modifications. If a successful demonstration relied on the seller’s personal accessory, clarify what the buyer will actually receive. An apparently small missing item can leave the receiving customer unable to reproduce the demonstrated connection.
Make the decision function by function
Compare two candidates using the same required tasks rather than the screen size or year label alone. A newer-looking system with an untested connection is not yet equivalent to a demonstrated setup. The customer may accept an alternative, but its limitations and support implications should be understood before the offer is approved.
Tell Panda the destination, accepted versions and precise phone and language requirements. Request a fresh demonstration if the selected vehicle or installed system changes. Keep the final outcome and supplied setup together so the receiving customer knows what was established and which services still require separate confirmation.
