Record both actual configurations
Request original-market designation, production evidence, system identity and condition. The i60 configuration checklist prevents general model coverage becoming a candidate specification. Apply the same discipline to the C10 proposal.
Retain stable references for all media and amounts. Do not combine a BEV photograph, a range-extending description and another candidate's condition report. If a supplier substitutes a car, its positive evidence must be reviewed afresh rather than inherited from the rejected proposal.
Use one operating requirement sheet
Describe regular travel, parking, charging access and acceptable replenishment routines. The i60 powertrain decision frames its own routes, while C10 needs the relevant application evidence and provider answers separately.
Avoid assuming identical maintenance because both offers use extended-range wording. Keep battery-only and combined references in their stated contexts. A long model-family range claim cannot establish the actual trip or support for a particular exported unit. Record unconfirmed questions before deciding that the operating propositions are equivalent.
Compare actual people and bags
Use consistent front positions and the required rear occupants. The adult seating assessment retains the arrangement rather than selecting favourable isolated photographs. Then test stated luggage with needed places occupied.
Essential phone, language or parking functions deserve comparable normal demonstrations. A screen shape or technology list cannot prove the receiving user's required method. If a personal or destination-use assessment is unavailable remotely, retain the limit instead of promoting a model reference to a universal suitability claim.
Compare condition after supported preparation
Obtain suitable used-vehicle and battery evidence for each actual application, or new-car status and delivery checks. The i60 battery review explains why a displayed charge or range is not a complete health answer. The C10 needs its own relevant assessment.
Use the quote reconciliation guide for currency, supplied items, completed work and transfer stage. Receiving providers should address the identified systems rather than assumed parts sharing. Do not promise a general durability, maintenance or resale advantage. An unresolved scope stays outside confirmed totals until a responsible party defines it.
A similar advertised range with different evidence
Suppose both offers show attractive range wording, but only one identifies the actual system and provides appropriate findings. Request the missing evidence before treating the amounts as equivalent value. A favourable current dashboard estimate cannot compensate for unclear candidate identity or a missing mandatory function.
Once both propositions are supported, retain the customer's accepted benefit and compromise. If either powertrain route remains acceptable, state that explicitly. A replacement should fulfil the same requirements with its own evidence. The dealer can then explain a specific choice without declaring that all similar-looking electrified SUVs provide the same operation or support.
If one offer includes accessories and another leaves them unspecified, obtain individual inventories before aligning the totals. A shared electric-vehicle category cannot establish compatible or equivalent supply. The receiving buyer should see the supported equipment and any required replacement separately from the amount assigned to the vehicle itself.
Choose the next action
| Finding or requirement | Purchase response |
|---|---|
| Candidate system is not established | Resolve actual application and identity before comparing broad electric or range-extending descriptions. |
| Passenger evidence is uneven | Apply the same front positions, adults and luggage task to both proposals. |
| Preparation and support differ | Align completed scopes and preserve open questions rather than ranking advertised amounts alone. |
Evidence to keep with the decision
- Connect each actual original-market designation and system to one candidate reference, preventing BEV media, range-extending descriptions and another car's positive findings from being combined into an attractive but unidentified proposal.
- Retain one route, parking and replenishment brief for both vehicles, identifying actual applications and relevant support rather than assuming similar extended-range wording proves equivalent operation, components, service work or destination arrangements.
- Compare stated figures only within their context and keep observed screen values separate from suitable condition evidence, documenting open questions so a favourable number does not replace identity or the customer's real travel requirement.
- Use consistent occupants, front positions and bags, requesting comparable normal demonstrations of essential functions rather than allowing a more convenient passenger setup or longer option list to conceal a missing mandatory benefit.
- Obtain suitable battery and whole-vehicle findings independently, with provider support for assessed preparation and aligned delivery stage instead of assumed parts sharing or a universal reliability, maintenance or resale advantage from the model name.
- Record the customer's accepted configuration and compromise, rebuilding the evidence file for any replacement so an equal advertised range or a similar-looking screen cannot inherit another unit's condition result or practical suitability.
Questions buyers ask
Do similar powertrain labels prove matching systems?
No. Actual applications, evidence and receiving support require independent review.
Can range wording replace battery findings?
No. Referenced or displayed range and suitable condition assessment answer different questions.
