01

Translate the customer's request into functions

Ask whether the requirement concerns cruise assistance, lane-related functions or a specified parking aid. A broad advanced-technology label may combine several different systems. The equipment evidence guide connects each required function to the actual market and build.

Keep mandatory items separate from extras. If the buyer needs one function, an unrelated display or entertainment feature cannot compensate silently for its absence. Retain the applicable instructions and limits. Do not transfer a current reference's technology list into an unidentified earlier proposal.

02

Distinguish presence from useful operating evidence

Controls and sensors can help identify equipment but do not establish complete condition. Request suitable assessment and appropriate ordinary demonstrations, with conditions stated. Avoid unsafe intervention tests or attempts to provoke a system response through dangerous driving.

The parking-view assessment keeps one useful observation separate from a wider assistance claim. A disappearing warning or a short favourable clip cannot prove every function has been assessed. Retain pending points and any provider conclusions at their actual evidence level.

03

Review relevant work and support

Ask about disclosed repairs involving relevant body, glass or equipment areas. The responsible provider should determine the follow-up checks for the actual systems. Do not assume every repair caused a fault, or that clean appearance means all required assessment was completed.

Use the vehicle-specific review to retain scope and findings. If receiving support or provider eligibility matters, obtain the relevant answer rather than assuming an exported car's services transfer automatically. Price a completed supported remedy for assessed issues, not a guessed visible component.

04

Compare technology after essentials are met

The software and support guide separates installed functions from regional services and responsibilities. Ask which useful benefit remains supported for the intended user. More functions are not automatically better value when key requirements or work remain unresolved.

Align condition and commercial scope before accepting a higher trim. A simpler candidate may meet the routine; another may be needed for a mandatory system. Keep driver responsibility explicit and avoid guaranteed accident-prevention or future performance claims. The choice concerns supported equipment on this car, not a universal technology ranking.

05

An assistance-led remote shortlist

Suppose the buyer requests a particular cruise function but the seller supplies a long package list and dashboard photographs. Ask for the supported identity and appropriate evidence of that function. The list does not answer whether the candidate satisfies the mandatory requirement or whether its relevant condition has been assessed.

If the function remains unresolved, compare another candidate or record an explicit accepted limitation. Do not approve the full premium on the assumption that software or a future repair will settle it. Preserve the system description, evidence and limits in the final dealer file so the retail wording cannot become stronger than the accepted proposition.

Evidence to keep with the decision

  1. Translate the customer's technology request into named mandatory functions, keeping preferred extras separate and preserving applicable instructions instead of accepting an undefined advanced-assistance label as proof that the actual vehicle meets every expectation.
  2. Connect original configuration and relevant fitted equipment to the candidate, noting later changes and unconfirmed fields; a control, sensor or software menu can assist identification without establishing full operation or future destination eligibility.
  3. Request appropriate ordinary observations and qualified findings where needed, avoiding unsafe intervention demonstrations; retain the conditions and limits so a short favourable clip or disappearing warning does not become an all-system assurance.
  4. Keep disclosed work involving relevant areas with the provider-defined follow-up scope, assessing the actual fitted systems rather than assuming every repair caused trouble or that cosmetic quality proves all required checks were performed.
  5. Obtain responsible support and eligibility answers for the intended user and destination where relevant, leaving them pending until confirmed rather than implying that every domestic software function or service transfers with an exported car.
  6. Retain the actual functions valued, completed preparation and accepted limits in the retail record, stating driver responsibility and revisiting substitutes rather than upgrading a supported assistance benefit to autonomous operation or guaranteed accident-prevention wording.

Questions buyers ask

Does driver assistance mean autonomous operation?

No. Understand the actual functions and instructions; the driver retains responsibility.

Can a warning-free display prove all systems?

No. It is a limited observation and cannot replace an appropriate assessment scope.
